Broccoli Sprouts contain up to 50 times as much antioxidant as mature broccoli. As a result they have become extremely popular since that discovery - back in 1997. Growing Broccoli Sprouts is very similar to growing Leafy Sprouts, but there are a few...
Customer Reviews For The Easy Sprouter!
For sure this is the best all-round sprouter. I start almost all* of my seeds in the easy sprouter, even if they will grow straight up like wheat grass or alfalfa sprouts. With the drainage holes, I can use a garden hose nozzle to push water through the soaked seeds to give them a thorough rinse each time. You can't do this with jars. I can start 1 - 2 cup of Mung Beans Alfalfa or any seeds that will eventually grow to the green stage and let them sprout for a couple days before I move to individual sprouting containers. Garbanzos and other seeds that tend to get moldy with other methods can be sprouted with rapid success. Again this is because you can push water up through for a good thorough rinsing.
If you only want a small amount of sprouts or alfalfa sprouts, you better only use a teaspoon of seeds. With practice you can remove the hulls, too, for beautiful full grown sprouts.
Only gelatinous seeds like the superfood chia and cress sprouts and other very tiny seeds like Teff require a different sprouting system
Five Stars***** Review by Cookbook Addict
"The Easy sprouter is the perfect name - "Easy". Last time I grew sprouts was about 40 years ago - I used a mason jar and that was not a simple task. What makes this so simple I think is the fantastic built-in drainage system that stops the seeds from sitting in the excess water and spoiling"
Although it is made with plastic, the manufacturer states on it's website that it is food grade plastic and very safe to use. So far I have sprouted broccoli and a wide range of mixed legumes. The sprouts were beautiful and very delicious and it took very little effort and attention. Way fresher, crisper and much less expensive than the sprouts that I can buy at the supermarket or local grocer. The instructions that are provide with the sprouter are minimal,(except for broccoli sprout instructions) but, I believe you will find them to be all you need and if not online has a wealth of growing sprouts information right on hand.
The Easy Sprouter container is also the perfect container to store sprouts in the refrigerator, keeping them fresh and crisp for long periods, and still growing, they do slow up in the fridge though!
So, I highly recommend buying at least 2 sprouters if you want to always have ready to eat sprouts at hand.
Another fantastic thing about this sprouter which may not be apparent is that it is a closed sealed container. I have a cat who loves to eat sprouts, and while I am happy to share, I am not sure he is happy to share with me.
I have tested the Easy Sprouter for months now and found it the best on the market!
Five Stars ***** Review by Leeder leader!
"This sprouter is wonderful" - easy to use, easy to clean, and great for storage, too. Granted, we don't use it for storage anymore; it's in use pretty much full time for sprouting, and we're getting another one so we can have multiple sprout mixes at a time.

A quality product that has been around for a very long time and tested by many, seems to be the preferred sprouter on the market. Super simple to use and grows a wide range of sprouts. Rinses better and more easily than other systems. Only Con that some don't like is it is made of plastic, but the company say's the quality is very high and totally safe
