Easy and Quick Homemade Chilli Recipes

Easy Chili I
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
4 teaspoons finely chopped jalapeno chile peppers
1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (16 ounce) can chili beans, undrained
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the ground beef, onion and bell peppers. Saute for about 5 minutes, or until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
Add the chili powder, garlic, bay leaf, cumin, chile peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in the beans and heat through.

Easy Homemade Chili
Ingredients
Simple Chili
1 lb extra lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove , finely chopped
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes , undrained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (15 -16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained or 1 (15 -16 ounce) can pinto beans , if desired
Directions:

Cook beef, onion and garlic in 3 qt saucepan until beef is brown.

Stir in remaining ingredients except beans.

Heat to boiling, reduce heat to low.

Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Stir in beans.

Heat to boiling, reduce heat to low.

Simmer uncovered about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired thickness.

To freeze for OAMC: Let chili cool to room temperature and then place into quart-size freezer bag. Remove air and freeze flat on a cookie sheet. Once frozen, can be stored in freezer standing up or stacked horizontally.

To serve, thaw in fridge overnight and then transfer to a pot and reheat over medium low heat until heated through.

- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 pinch chili powder
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the beef and onion and saute until meat is browned and onion is tender. Add the stewed tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, beans and water.
